Prospective vendor & buyer: Save Glaneirw Community for future generations
The Issue
We wish to appeal to the prospective vendors & purchasers to reconsider the sale of one of Wales’ longest running community projects, Glaneirw, into the hands of private ownership, and thereby removing an important resource from the local community which has so far spanned four decades.
We strongly believe that, after years of Glaneirw struggling, it has reached the lowest point in it’s history, and that the time has come for Glaneirw to find its feet again – only this time with the input and support of MANY people willing to put time and energy in to help Glaneirw realise its true potential.
The Friends of Glaneirw Community aim to create a membership body to assist in retaining the co-operative and resources at Glaneirw, to access funding and to help restore the buildings and grounds to provide viable ecological, educational, work and leisure opportunities as well as housing for the local & wider community.
