JAIL TIME FOR OWNER THAT COOKED DOG TO DEATH IN HOT CAR
This petition had 2,606 supporters
Another dog cooked to death in Jamaica Plains, MA (a pitbull). The Police Department is reportedly "considering" charges. What is there to consider? You put a dog in a hot truck on a hot day, if that isn't straight out animal abuse-what is? It's a felony to leave a dog in a hot car in MA (Thank you, Charlie Baker). What is there to consider? The dog's temperature when it reached the MSPCA was 109 degrees, which is the max that the thermometer goes. It was 80 something out yesterday and I couldn't even sit in my car for 2 minutes without the AC on. Did the owner accidentally "forget" his dog? Or did the owner want it gone and this was the way to do it (and hope to get off with a slap on the wrist)? The owner of this dog needs to go to JAIL for the maximum amount of time - 7 years. Let's show the Prosecutors we want this law enforced and we don't want any plea deals or community service. We want JAIL. They can expect to see us at any hearings. The State of MA needs to set a precedence with this case. NO MORE! The dog was estimated to have cooked for over 2 hours! People tried to save it and rushed it to the hospital but it was too late. It's heart stopped beating within one minute of it's arrival for help. I wonder how many people passed the dog that didn't speak up and am glad for the few that did. Please sign and share. Keep your comments clean as this will be delivered to the Jamaica Plains Police Department. No threats of violence, please we need to have this petition taken seriously. Thank you. The dog in the photo is NOT the dog that died. http://boston.cbslocal.com/2017/08/01/dog-dies-hot-car-boston-jamaica-plain/
