Protected Witness KESSINGER did NOT testify. IMMUNITY should be OFF THE TABLE!
The Issue
On August 13, 2018, Christopher Watts of Frederick, Co. murdered his wife Shanann Rzucek (Watts) and their 3 year old daugther Celeste, 4 year old daughter, Bella and their unborn son, Nico. This was all done in a premeditated fashion. Watts then methodically and calmly loaded their bodies into his work truck, drove over one hour to Cervi-319 and disposed of their little girls by placing each one into a separate crude oil tank battery. He buried his pregnant wife face down in a shallow grave.
Nichol Kessinger, a co-worker at Anadarko Petroleum was identified as his mistress. Kessinger had scrubbed her cellphones and instructed Watts to scrub his phone, as well. Kessinger instructed Watts to open multiple bank accounts to purportedly save money for a deposit on an apartment. Originally, Kessinger denied any knowledge of Watts marriage, children, financial status, or physical location of the Watts residence.
Watts eventually confessed and was arrested. A normal person would not hide any evidence from law enforcement, however; Kessinger was granted immunity in exchange for her testimony against Christopher Lee Watts at trial. Watts accepted a plea deal, therefore; avoiding a trial.
It is our belief that Kessinger's eventual cooperation and information that was provided to the Weld County prosecutors' office, pre-trial, was an admission of guilt. Weld County classified her as a "victim." Kessinger claimed she was victimized, needed state funded psychiatric help, requested and was given status as a "protected identity" by Weld County.
Watts did not go to trial. Kessinger did not testify! Kessinger's deal as a state's witness and any immunity granted by the Weld County Prosecutor's office should be rescinded. We are requesting that Nichol Kessinger be charged with obstruction of justice, at the very least. We demand true justice for Shanann Rzucek and her children! Thank you.
