It's been some time since I posted an update for each and every one of you who are now part of Team Coleman, who took time out of your busy lives to sign, comment on, and share our petition. Since our last case filing requested by Judge York was filed on September 14, 2023, three months ago, we continue to wait for a decision on whether Leonard is going to receive a brand new, fair trial.

This marks Leonard's twelfth Christmas and new year spent in the Alabama Department of Corrections for a crime someone else factually committed. It's unfathomable that a country that provides billions of dollars in foreign aid would allow factually innocent Americans to sit in prison for months after evidence of their innocence has been filed and testified upon in court. Even more disturbing is that Officers Bagsby and Quinnie of the Mobile PD and former DA Ashley Rich, responsible for Leonard's botched investigation, are free to celebrate the holidays with their loved ones while Leonard spends yet another year isolated from his life and loved ones - a trauma very few can understand.

I pray your Christmas and 2024 are filled with love, peace, and special memories, and I humbly ask that you continue to hold our case in your prayers. I am confident the same God who chose to walk our human path, one who was misunderstood and endured suffering, will hear our prayers and cause my husband to see justice against all odds.
