FLOCK, a 501c3 non-profit, in Nevada, may finally go to trial on Feb. 11, 2010 in Nye County on charges of animal cruelty and neglect.
In 2007 animal control discovered hundreds of cats trapped in FLOCK's desert compound, living in filth, covered with flies, starving, dehydrated and suffering from the extreme desert temperatures, and from untreated diseases, illnesses and injuries.

Deputy District Attorney Robert Bettinger
There is overwhelming evidence of severe neglect and cruelty to the more than 700 cats FLOCK was supposed to care for. This organization was collecting money from the public under the guise of operating a "sanctuary" and all the while left the cats to suffer terribly in filthy conditions with infestation, in extreme heat and cold with little food or water, or veterinary care.
Please do not let this crime go unpunished. I urge you to prosecute FLOCK to the fullest extent of the law and take steps to make sure that organization and its Board members and managers are no longer allowed to have contact with any animals. Thank you.
