Three occasions recently involved innocent pet white mice being released into fast food restaurants. These poor animals were dyed, heaped in piles in plastic tubs, and not separated by sex, so most of the females will be pregnant! West Midlands Police rather pathetically intend to charge the perpetrator with 'public nuisance,' but not animal abuse, and sickeningly, McDonald's brought pest controllers in to deal with the mice, rather than the RSPCA or animal charities.

The message the police are sending is that they do not take this cruelty seriously, which is why it keeps happening. We demand they charge the sick individuals involved with violation of animal welfare laws, and get them a custodial sentence. Clearly these criminals have no regard for living, sentient beings.
