This photo is the latest example of abuse by Cheryl Lewis, the former shelter supervisor was “forced to retire” according to shelter employees after multiple incidents of abuse, neglect, and torture. By retiring Lewis, she will be able to enjoy a pension and benefits as other city workers benefit from. That woman was seen on the infamous dog dragging video - she was not fired and did not resign even then.

Apparently, Blewett is telling animal advocates who call that the City Council is getting tired of the problems at Hesperia Animal Control.

Good, we hope they do "get tired" about hearing of animal torture & neglect under their administration ... prosecute Cheryl Lewis for animal cruelty, do not reward her with retirement benefits paid by taxpayers.
