For those of you who don’t know, Wings of Faith (aka Refuge of Grace) was a “troubled teen” Baptist Christian boarding school in Stockton, Missouri. Operated by Debbie and Bud Martin, this couple made claims to run a therapeutic program. In reality, there were zero therapists at this school (licensed or otherwise), and the residents never received any form of counseling. The hundreds of girls who attended this school over the span of decades were verbally abused, psychologically tortured, and even sometimes subjected to physical abuse.

The Martins moved and changed the name of their “school” multiple times, evading bad press associated with their prior names. Missouri is one of many states whose total lack of oversight allowed the Martins to run their unaccredited program completely unregulated.

Due to societal and legal pressure, Bud and Debbie Martin have officially closed their doors. The survivors of the Martins exploitation and mistreatment demand a criminal investigation.
