Two homeless individuals in Riverside, CA are running an illegal and abusive breeding operation. This petition is to DEMAND Riverside Department of Animal Services (DAS) remove all moms and puppies.

— The first complaint about this encampment was in October 2022 by “Rebirth Rescue. The animals weren’t removed.

— The same rescue made a second call on 12/04/2022. Again, animals were not removed.

— On 12/10/2022, I purchased a chained, starved, and abused dog (Penny) that was used for breeding. She weighed nothing, has a shattered hip, torn ACL, and a deadly uterus infection that required emergency life saving surgery (paid by Hope for Paws). She was so skinny that another mom was nursing her puppies. 

— On 12/12/2022, I called DAS to report animal abuse and request the removal of Penny’s 7 living puppies (one already died). The puppies were not removed. 

— On 12/17/2022, I went to purchase her 7 living puppies. Two puppies were already dead when I got there, they kept the only “healthy” one and then sold me four dying pups for $100, a Tiffany’s bracelet, and an old iPod touch they kept calling an iPhone. Of those four I purchased, only two survived. This could’ve been prevented with each prior call to Animal Services.

— That same day (12/17/22), I asked the breeder who he’s selling sick puppies to. He said “I know people from rooster fighting.” And that makes sense. He always has litter after litter after litter of puppies. How does he always find a buyer for unvaccinated and sick puppies?! Bait dogs. 

— In late 12/2022, DAS went into the encampment and removed five puppies but left plenty behind, including the last “healthy” puppy in Penny’s litter. 

— On 1/10/23, I purchased the last puppy in Penny’s litter for $400. The one that was kinda healthy, remember him? He had a cracked head, shattered jaw, and broken teeth. He kept having seizures and had to be put down immediately. 

— On 01/10/2023, the vet called DAS to report an abused puppy with a cracked head. DAS ignored this vet call. 

— Around 01/19/2023, I called DAS to request they pickup the dead puppy currently frozen at the vet. I was told they will not view the bodybc “a puppy with a cracked head doesn’t mean it’s abuse or negligence. Puppies get attacked by other dogs sometimes.”

— Later that night, I went to social media and started emailing people in power. Suddenly, DAS picked up the dead puppy for a necropsy. 

— On 01/19/2023, this homeless breeder threatened to make me scream his name while he’s cutting my throat. I have the texts as proof. And nothing happened to him.

— On 02/01/2023, DAS went into the encampment and let him RELINQUISH 6 dogs. But the two new moms with newborns were left behind. So was the puppy with facial injuries from a dog attack. This animal killer is running an illegal puppy mill and they’re leaving puppies with him. 

I AM PROUD TO SAY: DAS is working with rescues and fosters to get those six relinquished dogs out of the shelter. I was worried they’d be euthanized bc they’re “parvo exposed” and I couldn’t find a rescue for them… but DAS really stepped up to the plate and did right by them. Best news yet!

But we’re not done yet. The severe animal neglect (of all their animals) and illegal breeding didn’t stop. They currently have about 20 puppies with no proper shelter so the puppies end up freezing to death, getting attacked by other dogs, or simply dying from malnutrition. 

Please sign the petition demanding the removal of all moms and puppies! This is unacceptable.
