Homeless Shelter Coming to 89th St and Third Ave, Unless You Email City Council Speaker Now

Please email Speaker Julie Menin now at district5@council.nyc.gov and ask her to oppose the proposed shelter at 1587 Third Avenue (maybe 1585 Third Ave as well).

We understand DHS is actively reviewing the site, and we believe Speaker Menin may have an opportunity to raise the community’s concerns with the agency soon. This is the time to speak up before the proposal moves further in the review process.
