Lighthouse Academy Charter School is a newly proposed K-5 public charter school in Poughkeepsie, NY. Our goal is to offer alternative high-quality choices to local families and to create a learning environment where students feel supported, challenged, and safe. Lighthouse Academy Charter School aims to meet the needs of students by setting clear academic and behavioral expectations. Our goal is to help students grow, feel confident, and reach their full potential. A charter school is a public, tuition-free option available to all families.

We are seeking at least 4,000 community members to add their names to this petition. Your support shows that families in Poughkeepsie and nearby towns want stronger academic options and believe every child deserves access to an excellent education. You do not need to have school age children to sign the petition. We just ask that if you believe having a strong alternative school in Poughkeepsie is worthwhile that you sign the petition.
