Ask the Greek President to close down the dolphinarium in Attica Zoological Park Athens.
The Issue
Dear Sir
Please help to close down the unlawful dolphinarium in Attica Zoological Park nr Athens. This facility holds 12 bottlenose Dolphins. 8 were imported from another country. However, 3 of the Dolphins were wild caught in the Black Sea. The imported Dolphins broke Greek law by not having correct permits and without your government's permission. Greece is party to ACCOBAMS and as such should close this facility down. It goes against everything the Greek people have believed in for centuries that Dolphins should always swim free. As a retired lawyer we are sure you can find the law to close this down. Dolphin Project .net has a facility in Italy where it can take captive dolphins either into retirement or to be helped to be released.
