The name of the "Save the Birds" coyote-hunting tournament in Marshall, MN has been changed, and its profile has been lowered. It's now named the "Buffalo Ridge" coyote hunting tournament, and it's no longer advertised in Outdoor News or CoyoteContest.com. It began with the misnomer "Save the Birds" in 2015, and has been opposed by this petition since 2016. We made a difference by petitioning, and by writing to contest sponsors and State officials and legislators. But of course, the cause goes on. Larger contests continue to be advertised, and smaller contests continue to be held quietly in Minnesota and elsewhere. Still, good work, everyone; and take heart: we can make a difference.
