The Alberta SPCA has even received reports of animals being severely startled, leading to potentially dangerous situations. According to Statistics Canada, there are over 32,000 dogs in the Grand Prairie county. Imagine the distress caused to our four-legged friends with each explosion.

Furthermore, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police has issued numerous warnings about the dangers of Tannerite when used unsafely, highlighting it as a potential hazard for fires and accidental injuries. Based on the Natural Resources Canada data, wildfires caused by humans, including from exploding targets, accounted for 55% of all wildfire starts between 2010 and 2019. We experienced a devastating wildfire in our subdivision last year and four neighbors lost their homes. We don't need man made threats of more fires.
