My personal struggle with the harmful impacts of gas-powered leaf blowers has led me to launch this petition. Living in a neighborhood where these machines are used a lot, I've witnessed their devastating effects. Enormously damaging to the environment, a gas leaf blower produces more carbon dioxide emissions than a car, contributing to an escalating climate crisis. Simultaneously, the deafening noise pollution seriously harms the peace and tranquility of our place.

What's more, these leaf blowers unintentionally disrupt the natural process of composting. Leaves, rather than being nuisances, are essential for soil health and biodiversity. They decompose into vital nutrients that enrich the soil and aid the growth of various organisms.

Environmental Protection Agency cites that a single gas leaf blower generates emissions equivalent to driving a recent model car for more than a thousand miles. It's disturbing to realise even a small gardening tool can have such an adverse effect.

We urge the concerned authorities to enact a ban on gas-powered leaf blowers, greatly benefiting the environment, our neighborhoods, and our soil.
