I have personally witnessed the devastating effects of glue traps on innocent animals such as mice and rats. These creatures, often seen as pests, are subjected to cruel and painful deaths when they step onto a glue trap. The suffering they endure is unimaginable.

Glue traps are not only inhumane but also ineffective in controlling rodent populations. According to a study by the Humane Society, these devices often catch non-target animals such as birds and small mammals (Humane Society). Furthermore, they do not address the root cause of rodent infestations - availability of food and shelter.

Also, glue traps put other innocent animals/wildlife in danger as well. Thousands or birds, baby chipmunks and other animals die slow painful deaths every year due to misplaced glue traps. 

There are many alternatives available that are both effective and humane. For instance, snap traps kill rodents instantly without causing unnecessary suffering if you are determined to kill, cages for humane trap and release. Also,  Ultrasonic repellents deter rodents without harming them or other non-target species.

We must take action now to end this cruel practice. By signing this petition, you can help us send a strong message to lawmakers that we will not tolerate animal cruelty in any form.
