I am deeply moved to advocate for animal rights after experiencing the heartbreaking reality of Halal slaughter. As a person who highly values compassion and responsible treatment of all beings, I find the practice cruel and inhumane. The method involves the animal being alive and healthy at the time of slaughter, the primary artery of the neck being cut, allowing the blood to drain from the animal before death.

According to a report published by ResearchGate, Halal slaughter often leads to severe distress and pain to the animals, due to the slow loss of consciousness as they bleed out (Source: ResearchGate, 2015). This clear violation of animal rights is unacceptable. We should, as a society, prioritize animal welfare and ensure all animals are treated with dignity and humanity. The alternatives to this practice, such as pre-slaughter stunning, have been proven to be less stressful and painful to the animals (Source: RSPCA, 2017).
