Prohibit the Distribution of Blasphemous Book Atheism Demystified Violating Pakistani Laws

The issue

I came across a book (Atheism Demystified by Dr. Qaisar Abbas Fatimi) online that contained disturbingly offensive material. This book, not only blasphemes the Holy Quran and disparages the Prophet, but flagrantly goes against the very tenets of Islam. As a Pakistani and devoted Muslim, I found this deeply disrespectful and distressing.

Mr. Qaisar Abbas Fatimi, through this book, wants to provoke Muslim sentiments as he does so through his blogs and social media posts. So-called ex-Muslim atheist, knows better that Muslims are very sensitive in this respect so this is his deliberate effort to provoke Muslims.

Pakistan, being an Islamic Republic, follows a Penal Code that protects the sanctity of its religion. Article 295-C of the Pakistani Penal Code states that "Whoever by words, either spoken or written, or by visible representation, or by any imputation, innuendo, or insinuation, directly or indirectly defiles the sacred name of the Holy Prophet shall be punishable with death."

Considering these laws, the distribution and circulation of this book are not only offensive but also illegal. It's important that we, as a nation, uphold our laws and protect the values we hold dear.

This is a demand for justice, the enforcement of our laws, and the respect of our core beliefs. We call on the Pakistani Government and all relevant authorities to ban this book, prevent further distribution, arrest the author under section 295-C, and send a clear message that we will not tolerate such derogatory content. Please sign this petition, raise your voice, and let's stand together against such disrespectful acts.
