Personally impacted by the disruptive impact of Elon Musk’s actions, I believe it's time for us to stand up and take action. We must speak up against his irresponsible actions, such as his unelected involvement with DOGE, which is facilitating the elimination of thousands of federal employees and targeting the Social Security accounts Americans have paid into for decades while referring to them as entitlements. His many illegal actions pose a risk to many. Additionally, Musk's decisions have had a profound negative effect on our community and government. His firing of numerous government federal employees destabilizes vital systems, and his efforts towards dismantling social security erode the safety nets established to support the vulnerable. By allowing Tesla, Musk's corporation, to operate in Oregon, we are indirectly supporting these disturbing policies. With over 75,000 Tesla cars sold in 2020 alone (Source: Statista), the immense influence Tesla has in our state cannot be understated. It's therefore incumbent on us, the residents of Oregon, to put a stop to Tesla's operations within our state and send a clear message to corporate influencers like Elon Musk on our stance toward such actions.
