I am a concerned individual who firmly believes that young children should not be exposed to books that advocate transgenderism as acceptable. I care about the welfare of our children - innocent and impressionable - who should be shielded from such contentious and controversial concepts. This personal conviction stems from the belief that certain issues are inappropriate for young readers.

While it's significant to respect and understand every individual's choices, presenting complex gender issues to children who have not yet developed the cognitive ability to comprehend them could potentially lead to confusion and misinterpretation.

Evidence suggests that children naturally develop their understanding of gender from the age of 3 and form a stable gender identity by the time they're about 6 to 7 (American Psychological Association). Injecting complex and controversial narratives may upset their natural course of development.

Children's literature should focus on developing essential virtues and life skills, not imposing ideologies. It's our collective responsibility to keep our children's literature wholesome and age appropriate.
