It is with deep distress that I, a student who has painstakingly dedicated countless late nights to prepare for physics exams, write this plea. My mental health was severely affected by the tremendously difficult exam papers prepared by one Susan Miss. This wasn't an isolated event of unreasonably challenging questions, but a consistent pattern noted by many cohorts of students.

Research shows that exams should be designed to assess both knowledge and understanding, not to instigate unnecessary stress and anxiety (American Psychological Association). Yet, the physics exam papers, under the authority of Susan Miss, have repeatedly proven to be far too strenuous for students, consequently deteriorating their mental health.

While it is understood that academic rigour is an essential factor in education, the distress it has inflicted synonymously is undeniable and should not be overlooked. We need an educator who creates exams that are more balanced in nature, challenging students intellectually while being considerate of their wellbeing.

We, therefore, petition for Susan Miss to be prohibited from preparing physics exam papers henceforth. This action aims not to undermine her professional expertise, but rather to advocate for exam papers that reflect a better understanding of student abilities, mental health, and overall wellbeing.
