Orem’s current zoning ordinance, prohibits short term rentals. Orem has allowed them to pop up illegally, and is now trying to rewrite the ordinance to allow  them. They are even proposing a grandfathering clause to allow people who were illegally operating to continue. Orem will not listen to its residents, and is bending over for non residents, and illegally operating rentals. Why should our neighborhoods suffer the consequences. City council needs to listen to its citizens and uphold the current ban of short term rentals!
