We are a country where dogs are loved, cherished, and treated as part of the family. Sadly, there are some who don't adhere to this, including Georgina Bodle who has irresponsibly bred and kept puppies in squalid and deprived conditions, sat in their own faeces for days..... She subjected these innocent creatures to live without water, in cramped spaces with no opportunity for exercise. Further, she boarded dogs under similar inhumane conditions, duping unsuspecting pet owners into leaving their pets with her as they embarked on their holidays. No animal should ever have to endure such suffering.

It is not enough to apprehend and penalise individuals like Bodle; we must also ensure that they never again have the privilege of owning any pet. Data shows that 70% of animal abusers also have records of other criminal behavior (Humane Society, US). Ensuring Georgina Bodle loses her right to own any pet is not only a step towards justice for these defenceless animals but can also be an indicator in curbing further potential antisocial behaviour.
