The Issue

I used to enjoy Cadbury's "Meet a Cow" initiative, but it has recently come to my attention that these cows live in cages. This revelation has left me feeling guilty every time I drink milk or eat chocolate, knowing that the animals involved may not be treated with the respect and care they deserve.

Caged farming is not just an issue for Cadbury's cows; it is a widespread problem throughout the United Kingdom. According to Compassion in World Farming, over 16 million farm animals are trapped in cages every year, across our country (source: Compassion in World Farming). There are 66 billion farmed animals in the world and 2/3 are factory farmed. These conditions often lead to severe physical and psychological distress for the animals.

This isn't just about animal welfare; it's also about consumer rights. We have a right to know how our food is produced and make informed choices about what we consume.

We need your help now more than ever. The UK government must take action against this cruel practice by banning caged farming altogether. Let us stand together for better animal welfare standards and consumer transparency.

Please sign this petition today - let's free our farm animals from their cages!
