Recently the University of Maine has changed the parking layout of multiple lots on campus, where many red and black lots have been made smaller. This has drastically limited parking for black and red lot students who have to pay 50$ a year to park and are ticketed and fined when they park in a non designated lot. Blue lot (faculty and staff) are allowed to park in black lots despite having a significant amount of parking, creating even more of a problem for students. Multiple complaints have been heard from students who have been late or missed class due to these parking conditions - especially in Maines snowy and harsh winter weather. I ask that Blue Lot individuals be held to the same standards as black and red lot students, and be ticketed and fined if they park in their non designated lot.
