MrCrayfish created one of the best Coremod for animations called "obfuscate" very compatible with mods like Curios and
toolbelt that stick to character animations like swimming with a mod in 1.12.2 and crawling in 1.13+, may someone use the open source project smart motion or maybe a totally remake mod that just need obfuscate, to bring back that legend and his features!
