Problematic parking Alta Vista Lane, West of Almaden Lane

Problematic parking Alta Vista Lane, West of Almaden Lane

The Issue

Attention residents of or near Alta Vista Lane (West of Almaden), Marsala Court and North side of the Madison Vista Community:

We have an ongoing and escalating issue with street parking and public safety on the south side of Alta Vista Lane, west of Almaden. This dead-end section of Alta Vista Lane has unfortunately become an unofficial public parking area.

The area has increasingly attracted non-residents who park overnight, abandon vehicles, and in some cases, engage in illegal or unsafe activity.

Residents have reported several alarming concerns, including:

  • Individuals living in vehicles for multiple days at a time.
  • Non-operational vehicles are being abandoned.
  • Drug use is occurring openly in parked vehicles.
  • Drug paraphernalia, litter, and human waste are being left behind.
  • Non-residents are creating disturbances and engaging in altercations.

I am submitting this petition and a letter to the Citrus Heights City Council to respectfully request that the City take action to address this issue.

Possible solutions could include time-restricted parking for non residents and increased police presence or other remedies the residents and City can agree on.

I’d like us as a community with the City to create a balanced solution that ensures safety while maintaining access for legitimate use. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.

Please sign this petition in support and share/discuss with neighbors to increase engagement.

If you are unable to sign electronically and you are an Alta Vista Lane, Marsala Court or Madison Vista resident, you have received a copy of this letter and my contact information in your mailbox or front doorstep. Please contact me for assistance. Thank you.
