There was a time when you only saw white faces in John Lewis stores, this includes Peter Jones and Waitrose. Things have improved, but only to a limited extent. Most, if not all, lowly and junior management positions are occupied by black and other ethnic minorities. The cleaners, till staff and other low ranking staff are from black and other ethnic minorities. Did you know that John Lewis security staff practice racial profiling? It is IRRELEVANT what the ethnicity of the security staff, they target anyone with a black or brown skin. I have been boycotting John Lewis for several years for this reason. For the first time in over 50 years, their "Partners" have not received a bonus-I wonder WHY??
