Meeting Friday 21st April

Hi everyone, Had a meeting with Mrs Magennis and one of the Board of Governors today and explained our concerns over the health and safety of removing piercings and the risk of injury/infection associated with doing so before they are healed. I have urged them to consider an alternative course of action concerning piercings and suggetsed retainers be allowed as these are suitable for sports activities also but provide the barrier to infection whilst keeping the piercing open. Please if any parents can contact the school via email or telephone before Tuesday (when the Board of Governors are meeting to consider our case) stating they support the retainer solution it could carry some weight and help sway their decision.
