Wabasca Wood Buffalo Herd

The Issue

Dear Government of Canada and Government of Alberta,
I support the ShagowAskee team and request that the Government of Alberta and the Government of Canada:

  • Prevent the disappearance of the Wabasca Wood Buffalo herd by immediately stopping unlicensed hunting of the herd.
  • Designate the Wabasca Wood Buffalo herd, and all other wild Wood Buffalo herds, with wildlife status.
  • Protect Wabasca Wood Buffalo habitat for the benefit of Wood Buffalo, woodland caribou, and many other species.
  • Jointly manage the Wabasca Wood Buffalo herd with indigenous communities.
