Wabasca Wood Buffalo Herd
The Issue
Dear Government of Canada and Government of Alberta,
I support the ShagowAskee team and request that the Government of Alberta and the Government of Canada:
- Prevent the disappearance of the Wabasca Wood Buffalo herd by immediately stopping unlicensed hunting of the herd.
- Designate the Wabasca Wood Buffalo herd, and all other wild Wood Buffalo herds, with wildlife status.
- Protect Wabasca Wood Buffalo habitat for the benefit of Wood Buffalo, woodland caribou, and many other species.
- Jointly manage the Wabasca Wood Buffalo herd with indigenous communities.
