Sad news reached us yesterday that Jan lost his battle - it is a tragic reminder of how poorly the NMC continue to treat people whether their own staff or those undergoing FtP.
We believe Jan died around the 21st April and until the coroner completes their investigation we will continue with his fight and keep his story alive until the NMC are forced to prioritise wellbeing and mental health for ANY members of the public, staff or registrants who are in contact with them.
As the regulator of our profession we expect them to lead by example and show us the importance of minimising harm as much as possible - currently they seem to not have the skill or the inclination to do either.
