  1. Case returned to NMC this week following a 47 day hearing - yet to reach Facts stage - to date has cost £144,760 in hearing costs - equivalent to 1,206 registrant's annual fees
  2. Case adjourned at day 22 day with another 20 days allocated. Costing so far £103,4000 - equiv to 838 registrant's fees

  3. Another case held in two parts - part 1 of 20 days and part 2 of 22 days. ! The total cost to hear this case for hearing costs alone was £198,400 - equivalent to 1,653 registrant's annual fees. The case is still not concluded with an estimated 4 more weeks to do so. Incidents occurred nearly 4 years ago

    There are many many more examples and yet no accountability for such wastage of registrant's fees

    The Charity comission state they are satisfied with the measures put in place following the Rise Associates report but will follow closely - none of the36  recommendations for the report mention accountability over costs and impact on registrants
