The Los Gatos-Saratoga Union High School District Board made a decision on June 5, 2012 that PE will be made mandatory for freshmen starting 2013-2014. Data was not gathered, parents and students were not consulted and the erroneous assumption was made that the district was not in compliance. This was a flawed process and the decision of the board (BP 6146.1) should be rescinded.
