Approve funding for a new animal shelter
0 have signed. Let’s get to 1,500!
The current Prince William County animal shelter has been in use since 1977, and the facilities are inadequate for the number of animals that are up for adoption. PWC animal shelter has been one of the county's unmet critical needs since 2012, but nothing has been done to renovate or re-build. If you have ever visited the Prince William County shelter, you will remember that it is a small and stressful environment, especially for animals waiting for weeks in hope of finding their forever homes. Building a new shelter will improve the lives of animals awaiting adoption, decrease health concerns for animals and shelter workers, save the county money by euthanizing fewer critters, and help save lives! The animals who find themselves at this shelter deserve a second chance to find a loving home. Please support allocating funds and approving a new building for the Prince William County animal shelter.
