Ban toxic lawn chemicals

Ban toxic lawn chemicals
The Issue
(photo shows excessive drool after my dogs toxin exposure)
A number of your neighbors have noticed severe and sometimes fatal illnesses in their pets after they, their neighbors or their Neighborhood landscaping company have used certain lawn care chemicals.
While smaller mammals display illnesses from such chemicals immediately the results in humans are cumulative. The chemicals in many lawn fertilizers or weed killers are KNOWN CARCINOGENS, known cancer causing compounds. We’ve all seen the Round Up law suit commercials, yet it is still on the shelves of our home improvement stores. Trugreen uses a chemical found in a warfare agent from Vietnam, Agent Orange or 2,4-d in its lawn care.
Neighboring Montgomery County and Tacoma Park have already banned dangerous pesticides for lawn care. Let us be the next area to ban these potentially dangerous chemicals.
My personal experience is that my dog has a seizure every time he is exposed to these chemicals. We do not use any pesticides but it drifts from across the neighborhood. Our neighbors dogs get sick from being in their own untreated back yard. These are 2 of numerous cases, widespread in our community. In our neighborhood alone more than 20 families have been affected, and these are just the cases we know about so far. We need to control the use of these chemicals as they drift or run off to where they are not wanted, where our children play or just into the air we breath. Safe lawn care alternatives are available.
ACT NOW! Protect you, your family and your environment. Let us know you don’t want cancer causers in your neighborhood.
