I Still Need to Know

The third round of NAFTA negotiations have now started and I still need to know why so few of my friends and relatives are ready to express concern to protect Canada's sovereign right to govern itself, a right for which Canadians over many generations have striven to gain. I keep refreshing this petition's circulation, yet have few signatories join me. Please, if you feel you know people who cannot sign, tell me why they cannot. Tell why they cannot sign in opposition to secret trials when the very essence of our free and open democracy rests on open and public litigation. Tell me why they cannot sign in opposition to a provision that has the effect of raising international corporations from being the subjects of nations and welcome guests within Canada to non-territorial kingdoms equal with or the masters of nations, able to to over-ride Canadians actions within our sovereign right to govern ourselves.
