After 16 days of battling for his life in the ICU, Mr. Shiv Kumar Sharma passed away on 24th October, 2019. He was stabbed multiple times in broad daylight on 09th October, 2019 by a local hawker. The Accused Vishwas Ganpat Bovane (aka Pappu) has applied for bail saying he has been falsely implicated. The accused claims he had “No motive” to commit murder after giving multiple death threats to the deceased and his family.

The deceased, a plywood store owner, had asked the Accused (Pappu) to move his food cart, which used a gas cylinder on the main road, to a different location to avoid any disaster. After multiple requests, the Accused (Pappu) not only refused to move but also gave multiple death threats to Mr. Shiv Kumar Sharma & his family, during his life time.

Due to this, the deceased had already filed a police complaint asking for protection at the MIDC police station, Andheri (East). However, he was still stabbed multiple times in the broad daylight on his way home for lunch.

Today, the Accused has applied for bail saying that he has been falsely implicated without any motive. Although, there is already a complaint letter on the subject of death threats made by the Accused, acknowledge by the MIDC police station, Andheri (East).

Please do not treat this as an isolated incident. The victim’s family will not feel safe, if the accused is granted bail.
