INDIA STAND WITH BUXWAHA FOREST TO SAVE 2.15 LAKH TREES - SAVE BUXWAHA FOREST MOVEMENT
The Issue
Need of the hour
Rescue of Buxwaha Forest from Rampant!
Dear Prime Minister of India,
Fresh Oxygen from Buxwaha Forest as a Greeting!
Green cover on earth is continuously shrinking and extinction is permanent, specially in our country. It is recreant to loose nature’s tranquility for monetary reason. And after scarcity of oxygen in pandemic and increasing mortalities, to quite extent common people understood the value of tree but our authorities are still beguiled with monetary benefits.
In Chattarpur district of Madhya Pradesh, there is Panna Tiger Reserve and it is recently reported as rich source of diamond mines. So their has been a mining project called “Bunder Diamond Block” which includes clearing forest at Buxwaha, which is under tiger reserve consisting of more than 2.15 Lakhs trees on 382 hectares of land. The project spreads on area 954 hectares. The Company justifies that they have proposed 25.6heactares of green belt which consist of 65000 trees. But how can one vindicate deforestation and destroying the endangered habitats?
What kind of development it is that deracinates so many dying out species of biodiversity? In this largest democratic country, we are ready to uproot the native tribal living there since hundreds of year for diamonds. We need to understand that if we don’t terminate deforesting, their will be a pandemic of oxygen in atmosphere. This rises a question that what is definition of development in our country.
According to bylaws, if mining activity extends 40heactares of land, then permission of Environment and Forest Department is required over state government.
We know that the development is also important but not a such massive cost.
As a sensible, visionary leader and a environment lover, We believe you will do the needful to address this issue on a priority to protect our mother land at Buxwaha.
Regards,
Team Prayas & Thousands of living things of Buxwaha Forest
