Dear Prime Minister, Finance Minister and Health Minister, 

At this time when the pandemic has taken over the country, innumerable lives have been lost and every day more and more citizens of this country are fighting for their lives, it is time for the government to support people who are suffering from COVID and other medical conditions.

This is NOT the time to be charging GST (Goods and Services Tax) on medicines, on medical equipment, on medical testing and on hospitalisation. 

People have suffered enough of a fiscal loss in the last financial year and this burden should not be added to their woes. 

REMOVE GST from medicines, medical equipment, medical testing, medical care and hospitalisation with immediate effect. 

Let India heal and recover first before taxing its citizens who are fighting for their lives - this is the humane thing to do.

India needs a breather literally!
