Dear Friends and Supporters of Auroville,
One of Auroville’s longest residents, Frederick Schulze-Buxloh, who began working toward the realisation of the Dream of Auroville even before its official founding in 1968, has finally received a visa valid until July 2026.
Please find below a video message from him (with English and Tamil subtitles), expressing deep gratitude to everyone who supported him in so many ways, whether by signing the petition, writing to relevant authorities and organisations on his behalf, sending messages and prayers of support, and more:
Along with a feeling of deep gratitude, Frederick now feels it is time to remain quiet, so it is requested that this video is not circulated outside the direct recipients.
Our daily challenges in Auroville continue, but this has been a ray of light during difficult times.
We call for your continued support as Auroville strives to restore participatory governance and sustainable town development in order to realise its founding ideal: Human Unity in Diversity.
