Violence against the opposition is extremely rooted in an organized human life. Many thinkers, scientists, social reformists, human right activists, right to information activists and environmental activists are ill-treated, brutally assassinated from time to time all over the world through violence by religious fundamentalists and authorities. In India also many saints and social reformists have faced brutal treatment by the religious fundamentalist & authorities. This mindset is harming the national integrity and peaceful fabric of the Society and since ancient times have always opposed for a strong Democratic discourse and progressive thoughts.

Our request to Government:

Constitution of India mandates through Article 51A (h) that citizens have a fundamental duty "to develop scientific temper, humanism and the spirit of inquiry and reform.

Religious fundamentalists spread hate speeches and intolerance, hence many social activists are arrested on false accusations, brutally murdered by such fundamentalists. Dr. Narendra Dabholkar, Com. Govind Pansare, Dr. M. M. Kalburgi and Journalist Gauri Lankesh all the four were assassinated. As it is known that all these four social activists, worked for specific social cause and progressive thoughts and have contributed to the Society and nation. The Government is lethargic in such cases.

Present petition is made for the speedy investigation as the life of Social activist and reformers are endangered and henceforth no such murders take place and also a strict Law is required for the Protection of Social activists and reformers so as to ensure the Right to Liberty as guaranteed by our Constitution. 

We honestly request the Government:

1. All the four murders are linked to each other therefore it be resolved that further investigation of all the four murders   be done by a common Special Investigating Team.
2. Arrest the mastermind culprits of such organizations and attach their properties.
3. Such religious fundamental outfits and organizations be banned.
4. Specific law to protect the Social activists be enacted at the earliest.

We hereby request that the Present Petition be accepted and immediate action be taken.
