1.      As per para 2 and 3 (ii) of OROP Notification issued vide Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare, Ministry of Defence etter No 12 (I)/2014 /D(Pen/Pol)-Part-II dated 07 November 2015, uniform pension to be paid to the Defence Forces Personnel retiring in the same rank with the same length of service regardless of their date of retirement. However, as per OROP Table No 7 pension for JCOs and OR and equivalent of Army, Air Force and Navy is fixed separately as X and Y Group. This is this not against ethos of “One Rank One Pension” and also against Para 2 and 3 (ii) of OROP Notification.

2.      While in service Difference between X Gp and Y Gp pay is  Rs 1400 (X Group Pay only).  Therefore, difference in basic   pension between X Gp and Y Gp should be Rs 1400/2 = Rs 700/- (50% of X Group Pay).  Now after declaration of OROP Table No 7, pension difference  is more than Rs 1700/-  between   X   and Y Group in same rank with same length of service.  Due to ibid gap difference/further gap/fraction will be increased more after declaration of 7th CPC.
