The official website of PMO is now available in 6 major regional languages and Kannada does not figure among them.

It is disheartening to see BJP forgetting the language of the people who first opened the doors to them in South India. A state like Kerala which sends just one person of BJP to it's legislative assembly has been given the importance in this website. Kannada is the official language of the largest state of south India.

National parties have always been neglecting the interests of the language of Kannada right from the early days of Indian Independence. Even the British administration recognized the importance of the Kannada language and included the script in their currencies circulated in India.  

Kannada is spoken by 50 million people in this country. We have a rich culture and heritage dating back to 3rd century B.C and a written record of over 1200 years. Ours is the 3rd oldest language in the country and the 21st oldest surviving language in the world. 

Kannada definitely deserves a place among the various regional languages in which the PMO website has been launched.
