I'm starting this petition to stress the importance on a quick economic boost at difficult times like these.
Agriculture has been the backbone of this country and we have the best natural resources to pull that off. The fact that came to my notice was the one top crop that can bring in a massive economic boost to this country is illegal to grow, buy, sell or even use. Though it is illegal there has been absolutely no difficulty for the users to get it. So as long as this is in the black market all the revenue generated from the same will be used on other black market activities and illicit trades and for all the wrong reasons
If only the government decides to legalize the same and start government retail units or even government shops to sell the same for medicinal and recreational purposes and also legalize full scale cultivation and production of the plant in every part of the country, the yields will be of export quality and we can generate a very good revenue from the same. Our country has the best growing methods and culture for most the vegetables and fruits produced across the globe. So the legalization of the same will bring in lost methods of growth and more farmers will come forward with lost or new techniques for the growth and a better yield of the plant. Two cities of our country, Mumbai and Delhi are among the top 10 highest consumers of the world. Legalization would also create a lot of job opportunities across various sectors. The plant also has more than 50 thousand commercial or industrial uses and most of the countries in the world are considering legalization for it benefits in the medicinal sector. It has been effectively used to cure or treat a lot of health issues like Cancer, Aids, Arthritis, Chronic Pain, Seizures, ADHD, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) etc. I'm requesting everyone of you, whoever is concerned, push this petition to the height it needs to reach so that our country and its people can benefit the most from it. Do share it in your circles to help this wave make an impact to whoever it must, to do the right thing.
