Shri K. C. Tyagi’s response

Dear Citizens,

I would like to fully support Shri Ashwani Mahajan’s petition on Change.org talking about the cancer-causing herbicide, Glyphosate and asking for its ban on all its forms. Our farmers are at imminent risk from this life threatening chemical and I agree with Shri Ashwani Mahajan that there is an urgent need for India to reconsider its use for farming purposes.

Shri Mahajan has raised crucial issues that will impact the food security of our country. I am happy to see that his petition is gathering a lot of public support.

After being clinically proven that glyphosate causes cancer, many countries have taken a decision to ban it. There is an urgent need to address this issue as many pesticide companies are taking advantage of our ignorance. As a political leader, my role is to safeguard Indians and India’s interests. Therefore, I pledge to working towards ensuring that.

I believe that we can together raise awareness of the deadly risk of using Glyphosate, and build a safer, cancer-free India.
