Allow OCI holders stranded abroad on repatriation flights

The Issue

India announcing repatriation flights for it's citizen during this pandemic has been a relief for many. Several OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) Card holders who are abroad but have been permanent residents of India hoped to travel back too. Many such people also have emergencies and dependencies in India including students and elderly and also have compelling reasons to travel back as stated by the Indian Government. However, the Indian government has excluded OCI holders from this repatriation programme and this has left many like myself helpless. This is an appeal to the Government of India to consider our situation and accommodate us on the repatriation flights at some point in the near future so that we may return home to our loved ones.
