The LGBT community is under attack in Armenia. We must let the Armenian president know that the whole world is watching for him to do the right thing NOW!.

Backround information: A LGBT-friendly bar in downtown Yerevan, Armenia, the nation’s capital and largest city, was recently bombed two days after the country’s parliamentary elections were held. More surprisingly, two of the members of parliament allegedly bailed out the attackers. Two brothers attacked the DIY Rock Pub with a homemade bomb and targeted the establishment’s owner, Tsomak Oganesova, because she is a lesbian who supports her local LGBT community and has participated in Turkey’s gay pride parade. 

The bar was then attacked a second time. On Tuesday evening, a group of unidentified people spat and threw dog feces at the pub and tore down the establishment’s posters that read "No to Fascism." The assailants also spray painted swastikas on the bar’s walls.

When the Deputy Speaker of Parliamen was asked to comment about the incident he reproted by saying that; “As an Armenian citizen and member of a national-conservative party, I find the rebellion of the two young Armenian people against the homosexuals, who have created a den of perversion in our country and have a goal of alienating the society from its moral values, completely right and justified."

Tell the Armenian president that violence against any group should be condemmed and NOT condoned by the highest levels of the Armenian government.
