The temples in Kerala has been placed under the government rule resulting in plundering of its assets. The land which has bee under the ownership of the temples has been given away to non believers and for business purposes without  any benefit to the temples or the believers of the Hindu faith. Whenever the politicians feel the need for funds they take away the funds from the ruling authority (So called Devaswom Boards; which incidentally are ruled by non believers who are the appointees of the ruling party) and are being misused. Of late they have started a plan to sell the utensils that are used fr puja purposes. 

It is only the temple funds and the assets that are being misused like this. The same is not applicable to any other religions. While the staff who are working  in the temples have been asked to give their salaries as donation to the Chief Ministers fund (Forcibly taken) the Government has been disbursing funds to the priests of the Mosques (Mullahs) for them to tide over the difficult times (!!!!!!). According the the minister who is in charge of Devaswom board no one should start Veda or any other hindu religious classes at any of the temples where as the churches and mosques are conducting bible and quran classes.

You may have also heard about the atrocities heaped upon the pilgrims going to Sabarimala and the sponsored effort to desecrate the Sabarimala temple
