Hamid Nehal Ansari – An Indian Engineer and MBA graduate from Mumbai stuck in Pakistan jail for 4 years – Help us bring him back to his Family in India !

Hamid Nehal Ansari is a 31 year old Indian Engineer from Mumbai who was in Kabul, Afghanistan for a job interview in November, 2012. Hamid had befriended on Facebook and become close to a Pakistani girl. Hamid is believed to have reached Kohat in Pakistan in an attempt to save this Facebook friend who reportedly was being forced to marry someone twice her age. She shared her story with Hamid who became determined to help and save her. It is clear from the communication between Hamid and the Pakistani girl that she was in despair and sought Hamid’s help. 

On 12th of November, 2012 Hamid Nehal Ansari crossed over from Afghanistan border in Jalalabad to Peshawar, Pakistan. All contact from Hamid ceased since the 10th of November 2012 to date. Hamid was then detained by authorities in Pakistan. In reply to a Habeas corpus petition filed by his mother, Mrs. Fauzia Ansari, the high court was informed on January 13 that he was in custody of Pakistan Army and was being tried by a military court. Hamid was sentenced to 3 years imprisonment. It has been almost 4 years now and Hamid has still not been released. His parents Mr. Nehal Ansari and Mrs. Fauzia Ansari are in great despair and longing to get their son back. Let us appeal to the Indian Government and Pakistan Government and gather some support for Hamid Nehal Ansari so that he can be brought back home in India !
