Antigua & Barbuda is a very eco oriented island with many natural resources. There was an inferior dolphin swim with program that was forced to close down in 2004 but several groups have tired to return. There is a large population of people who are against this and we are calling for making Antigua and Barbuda free of captive marine mammals forever.

I just signed the following petition addressed to: The Prime Minister Hon Gaston Browne
We are asking your cabinet VOTE INTO LAW-- NO CAPTIVITY FOR MARINE MAMMALS IN ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA.
Marine mammals do not belong in captivity, all for the financial gain of man. We are aware that Antigua and Barbuda had a terrible experience with a previous dolphin swim program and we ask the Government to consider never allowing this to happen again by passing a law that does not allow marine mammals to be held in captivity in your country. We believe that this bold move would put Antigua & Barbuda in the forefront of all of the Caribbean islands in being eco friendly by protecting the marine environment.
